It's Been a Nice Run
After years of hosting my site, Blogger is kicking us old-school FTP types off their servers. Unfortunately, the Google-owned company's "solution" doesn't work for me--a prequel-based "rallblog.blogspot.com" type URL doesn't work here.
So I'm off to another platform.
This will mean some inconvenience to regular Rallbloggers, meaning that you'll have to re-register in order to post comments. But I am making effort to migrate all the old posts and archives to the new site so that your old comments will live on forever, just as your children would want.
This will happen sometime in April.
Sorry, but don't blame me. Blame Google!

Thanks for the heads-up, Ted.
Same thing happened with my site. I ultimately went with Wordpress and gave myself a crash course in PHP to make the new weblog look like the old one.
This is a bad move on Google's part, but on the up side, with Wordpress installed on my web server, everything regarding the weblog happens in one place. No more do I have to go to another website to make a new post.
We all have to grow up sometime. Greed-based Corporate America has been working full-time hatching plans to make damn sure nothing, but nothing, gets through without our having to pay a fee.
If you don't achieve the 25 Large to get back to Afghanistan, it could be fate telling you tragedy or death await you there. For you, it's not like the countless 'surprise visits' of the Bush/Cheney/Rice era with the entire American military all around.

I wonder how much this had to do with the few posters who pointed out after Ted's last op-ed that blogger is owned by Google. Did Ted have a moment like Zach De La Rocha when he found out that he worked for CAPITAL Records and had to quit Rage against the Machine?
Is there a web domain called Fuckle?
Can't we just blame Obama?
"Can't we just blame Obama?"
Always tempting, usually appropriate, but - in this case - no.

Actually it is you who is greedy when you expect something from someone else for free.
Ted, why don't you hand out free copies of your book? You don't want to be some greedy exploiter, do you?
Just love it when fellow posters twist words to suit their own tunnel vision. To rail against fees, in general, means to carefully read, for instance, your phone bill. How many fees that appear when you're not looking and paying attention, are corporate thefts of consumer pennies, which adds up to millions of dollars stolen by corporations.
Look, anonymous Buster! This individual doesn't want something for nothing. Try to look past your own prejudices. Geez! The Fucking Bush lovers, tea-baggers, Partiers of NO! They never stop. They just never stop. Oh, please! Don't say the word 'social!' Don't say social! It's...it's frightening. The Communists are going to take over! It's been over fifty years since Senator Joseph 'Tail-gunner Joe' McCarthy pulled a fast one on the USA and destroyed countless lives with his fear mongering, supported, of course, by yet another spineless Congress. Say what you will, anon. It doesn't change my life, and it certainly doesn't put you above scrutiny and hypocrisy.
And how many of those fees in your phone bill are government fees?
