Obama and Bush pursue the same policies on important issues, but only Bush catches liberal opprobrium.

You made me look up a word, good job. I have to say, Bush pretty much just went away, Cheney and his goddamn daughter, on the other hand.......

It's the old Republican recycled, cut-the-war-criminals-some-slack, rewriting of history ploy again. Bush has had time to cool his heels while Obama attempts the impossible, to clean up in one year what Bush and his army of traitors had EIGHT YEARS to accomplish. Not surprisingly, a flank attack is occuring in the form of a proposition to put Ronald "Alzheimer's" Reagan's likeness on American currency. Karl Rove, in the meantime, has parachuted behind 'enemy lines' to hype his book and take blame for Bush's acts of treason. These pig slop mofos will never stop trying to 'get out of jai' (read Enron felons) and head off idictments after multiple acts of obstruction of justice. TBC'd

"Anonymous said..." while Obama attempts the impossible.

Are you completely delusional? Since you're likely an Obamatron let me enlighten you.

Obama has had more than enough time to make some serious changes. He has not. Nothing is standing in his way to end the policy of indefinite detention which he has not. Nothing was standing in Obama's way regarding not staffing up with lobbyists, which he promised not to do but did anyway. He promised to re-visit NAFTA and post election he said he would not. The list goes on and on.

Quit hiding behind crap like "Obama's blocked by Congress", and "Obama can't immediately undo eight years of damage". He's had plenty of time for immediate action on a number of items and has made his intentions clear. It's more of the same. THAT'S why we know none of the big ticket issues that do take time to fix will never get fixed. Obama is the biggest flim-flam man in history.

What specifically are you talking about?

Here's the bottom line:

If we actually had a President who was trying to make some genuine changes for the benefit of the masses and not for the elite, what do you think would happen?

Think President John F. Kennedy.

That's what would happen.

The only recourse is violent revolution. Our democracy is a farce. Until a sizable plurality realizes this and reacts with the guns in which we are awash, nothing good will happen.

I agree that Obama is a severe disappointment, but claiming he's no different than George W. Bush is like me saying that you're no different from Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh, Ted.

Next time, if the Demoncraps don't nominate someone like Dennis Kucinich (chances of that are precisely zero), then vote Green or Nader. They're not even REMOTELY radical enough, but it would be a first, modest step.

Again - some definitions. Fascism = militaristic corporate state. Dems are Fascists. Nazis = fascism + scapegoating bigotry, flag and uniform worship. Republicans are Nazis. That's the choice we get every "election" - Fascists vs Nazis. It's true that Mussolini wasn't as bad as Hitler, on the other hand Mussolini was Hitler's enabler. Remind you of the relationship between Dems and the GOP here? And just because Benito's and Obama's name ends in a vowel, doesn't make him a kumbaya PC delight.

We MUST do better. The world and our children are at stake.

Obama will do worse than Bush.
Hiding behind his blackness, gifted rhetoric and raising the banner of progressivism, he dulled many of the so called progressives.
He will do things Bush wouldn't have dared doing for fear of the howling storms of protests from the so called progressives.
Firs, in the near future, will be the attacks on Social Security and Medicare under the banner of "reforming" "entitlements".

The USA is the crew of the Pequod when Moby Dick decides to finally erase Ahab, crew and ship. We will witness, limp dicks, power shoulder pads and grotesquely fat asses that we are, the downfall of the USA in our lifetime. Even the most skeptical of skeptics never thought this would come before death due to old age. The ultimate home-grown-terrorist bullying cowards, Dick Cheney and family, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter and their ilk (Barf!), will eat their handguns and shotguns. Our Native American hosts long ago predicted the white man would leave their lands. There ya go! So it goes! It is what it is! Sha-zaaammmmmm!

Why are the Ted Rall comics no longer updated on gocomics.com?

This should have been released 5 Mar, but it wasn't.

on ahmidinejad statement:

of course the statement is correct. planned by bush and his cronies, nothing more than what nations and city states have been doing to their populations for hundreds if not thousands of years.

no whack job conspiracy theory here, just documented historical precedence.

unfortunately, ahmidinejad is just a big a clown as sarah palin. in order to make a coherent case for "the big lie", he would have to cop to his own participation in this form of "state craft".

if you want to exploit a population, provide them with misdirection and a common fear, then use that fear for your own material profit.

politics is economics and war is politics by other means.

the state is the expression of the legally governed. what we have allowed our state to do in our name will haunt us, forever.

the present administration is accomplice to 9/11 and all the subsequent related acts.

i look forward to the war crimes tribunals and judgments, if it takes 50 years.

americans who do not believe it possible that 9/11 was a job perpetrated by their own government, are clinically insane. they work very hard to simply ignore reality.

perhaps someday, we will have a period of recovery, wherein peace and freedom become our larger focus, not to mention honor.

until then, those labeled insane by the insane, because they accept the realities of possibility, will just have to remain strong.

in a world gone insane, crazy is still crazy. even if the vast majority of people around us choose to continue to believe the bullshit they are fed, or refuse to accept the possibility, along with clear motive (money) and demonstrated lack of character, (wmd, banks, etc...), that what they are being fed is hyperbolic nonsense, and propaganda.

americans don't want to wake up to these facts, partly because they are lazy, in a way. to acknowledge the truth of the atrocities committed in our name, would require us to do something about them.

of course, they have been subject too, to a fairly sophisticated propaganda effort, headed by one of our former colonizers, rupert murdoch, et al...

there are many ways to colonize/exploit a peoples, other than just physically taking up residence where they live, or inviting your agents to do so.

we have allowed this to happen, and therefore must admit our mistake, starting with 9/11, before any repair or recovery can take place.

Aggie Dude:

If you think that being objectively for or against the murder and rape of a large group of people is NOT a trait that can be used to justifiably categorize people -- not to mention candidates -- than you are quite literally more like Coulter and Limbaugh than any of us.

"...only Bush catches liberal opprobrium." Bush wasn't a legally-elected President. The instant gratification crowd that is bashing Obama can just pretend their Cubs fans. Deal with it, crybabies! Obama has three more years to fuck up, plenty of war money and lots and lots of young, patriotic, glory-bound adults for the war machine.

Bush was effectively appointed by a Supreme Court that overstepped Federal authority and overturned Florida law in a decision that says that it CAN NOT be used as precedent in the future.

How was Bush's appointment was legal? If you're calling it legal, then a fundamental element of U.S. jurisprudence has just changed.

The point I was trying to make is that arguing Bush's legitimacy with you lefties is a productive as arguing Obama's with birthers (which by the way started with supporters of HRC).

Idiocy. Comparing the facts that I wrote to the stuff the "birthers" say.

I will soon be free of this.
