10 Comments:
Considering that the U.S. is probably first among the worst of the exploiters, this is probably a good thing. And the countries that you mention in the second panel are the ones that logically deserve first crack at these resources, what with the arctic ocean seabed being their continental shelf and all. Still, Al Gore is fat.
Astronomical note: if the moon ever starts wandering as close to the Earth as you've pictured it here, we are so fucked.
It doesn't matter. If the resources there ever become truly available, the US will just bomb the living shit out of whoever is there and take said resources by force. Considering the inanity accepted by the American public, headlines about defending the US against Arctic terrorists is not out of the question.
the U.S. isn't involved because of climate change denialism
Where did you read this?

Instead of only asking where Ted got HIS information, provide the information YOU have. Your turn.
Canada, Denmark and Norway, even, now, the Russians, are our "buddies" and they will "share" with us, OR ELSE.??!!
I think you left out a "d"...
1) I wish we (Canada) were actually serious about our Arctic sovereignty, instead of it just being an empty promise by politicians-under-fire, but we're not.
2) Even if we were, most of our energy flows to you guys anyway, why would this be any different? Creationist have no qualms using medical advances based on evolutionary principles they don't accept; most deniers don't deny climate change is happening, only that humanity is the cause.
Instead of only asking where Ted got HIS information, provide the information YOU have. Your turn.
I don't have any information. That's why I asked Ted. Really, did I have to point out the obvious?
...most deniers don't deny climate change is happening, only that humanity is the cause.
This is not true amongst the crazies who post on Ted's blog...

That's right, don't you dare question the lemmings on the left.
