I am so happy about this cartoon. So simple! When it comes down to it, global warming deniers are saying that we can't predict weather. Do they check the forecast before their daughters' weddings?

Warmist weather models do not accurately hindcast. Yet they claim to know what the global temperature will be down to the 0.1C in the future.

Once Tim's got a diagram here we'll send that either later today or first thing tomorrow. I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998. OK, that email doesn't actually say anything you can interpret without a larger context. So. . .what exactly is that evidence of? You don't know what they're talking about.
Also, Ted, do you recognize the extreme difference between 'climate' and 'weather'? Climate change isn't even about warming, it's about extreme oscillations.

Yes. And blowing these emails out of proportion will give the deniers another decade of steam. I haven't had time to look into the matter very closely, but my gut says something stinks here. I'm actually inclined to believe these emails where carefully orchestrated to appear at this time.

Wrong. Go find an example where I have corrected grammar without including an argument. I've only done this in response to people who have started a grammatical thread and the argument became about grammar.

What a strange cartoon. We can predict the weather 5 days from now, not as global warming people claim 5 years or 5 decades from now.
