Is there any "hope" for some Status Quobama bashing t-shirts?

Time to "change" the El Busho swag to Status Quobama loot.

YES WE CAN!

Seriously, I hope this comes to pass.

Mr. Rall, "MR. OBAMA: RESIGN NOW", brought tears to my eyes.

Silly, huh...

I think not.

I was brought up in a family of phlegmicrats (*). As a boy, I remember being feverishly in thrall with Carter.

Then I encountered the real world as an adult. I began to educated myself and eventually the truth finally dawned: the Left-in-name-only and the real-Right are essentially two sides of the same Plutocratic-Lemon-Socialist coin.

My family, immediate and extended, still votes-and-apologizes for gliberal politicians and their regressive policies.

I saw Status Quobama for the plutocratic-liar, -thief and -thug he is long before the election and accordingly stayed away from the polls (it wasn't rocket science, anyone who could read, observe and do basic research should have been able to discern the obvious).

The course of my life--in our profoundly atomized, impersonal, F-U-I-Got-Mine culture--has left me in a position where I have no proximate, like-minded primates with whom to commiserate regarding the crimes of Status Quobama and Company.

The irony is, my apologist family tells me to "tone it down" in case a "troublemaker" hears what I say or reads what I write. Which speaks to the white-glove-fascist reality you have courageously addressed. They apologize for him while instinctively understanding how dangerous he is.

So, like millions of my fellow atomized citizens, I live a life of quiet desperation.

The human primate is not built for our brand of artificial, antisocial, anti-nature culture and the deleterious consequences manifest themselves everywhere you look. It takes work to miss the obvious but denial is our national pastime and we're exceptionally good at it.

--

(*) Don't get me wrong, I love 'em. In fact, I'm a 6-day-a-week caregiver for my octogenarian, Status-Quobama-supporting parents.

Which (parenthetically speaking)--in our disposable culture, where it's "mature and cool" to warehouse our elderly at the first sign of "trouble"--makes me a middle-aged loser in our Darwinian tournament.

Our culture of planned- and perceived-obsolescence has convinced us we can throw away our flesh and blood without losing our soul.

I'm proud of and humbled by the work I do with and for them. It's a circle of human life honored and practiced by our species for well over 90 percent of our time on Earth.

The Elders used to be revered as vital parts of life, even in death.

Now we just treat them like crap:

SEE this recent Chicago Tribune investigative report for a glimpse of this epidemic of cruel and inhuman punishment for the crime of being "too-old":

Compromised Care: Psychotropic drugs given to nursing home patients without cause
Many Illinois residents get medications they don't need or want. The result? A threat to the lives of our elderly.

--

If I may pick one nit:

In, MR. OBAMA: RESIGN NOW, you wrote, "can you be a suspect if you haven't been charged with a crime?".

Since the police, for example, "suspect" this, that or the other person--often keeping tabs on multiple "suspects" in order to gather more evidence before formally charging them--might be guilty of a particular crime, and categorize these people as "suspects" before charging them as a matter of course, the answer to your question is, yes.

Your general premise is solid, but that particular assertion makes no sense, at least to me.

I assume what you meant to convey was, can you be indefinitely detained, jailed and tried without Due Process.

"I knew George W. Bush. George W. Bush had my unprecedented contempt, and you, President Obama, are no George W. Bush."

The Chicago-Washington-Chicago-Illinois 'Connection' is "beginning to look a lot like Christ-muss...." A relatively new and unused prison just northwest of Chicago will likely be the new home for former Guantanamo residents. "It's all about jobs." -- both Mayors Daley
Comparing the 8-year record of Bush-Cheney et al and the relatively new Obama-almost-all-Chicago Administration, the difference seems to be the direction of the bullshit. With Bush, it was Bullshit Baffles Brains directed outward from the Oval Office, whereas with Obama, it's Bullshit Baffles Brains going INTO the White House and Obama's puddin' head.
On the Bullshit-Baffles-Brains front, looks like Sarah Palin is rip-roaring hot for national office. One can't deny the sick, sick, sick Republican Party and dropouts-from-the-90s Clinton-Haters-Bashers are giving Palin unearned political shelf life. Read Earl Blumenauer's OP-Ed essay, "My Near Death Panel Experience," publishedd November 14, 2009 in the New York Times for the sad facts on how a huge chunk of American voters want to worship at Palins stinking, lying, corrupt, taxpayer-funded, beauty-pageant shoes. Many thought we couldn't get worse than Bush (give Obama some slack for being a FNG, even with the Chicago connections), but Sarah Palin? It's either Palin in the Oval Office or a truly-rogue meteor the size of Cuba in direct line for Planet Earth.

Obama is to the politics what Ashley Simpson is to the music industry. Let the fool-media pound into fool-Americans' heads that they are great long enough and fool-Americans will start to believe it. Good job getting him elected, fool-media.
