Cartoon for October 31, 2009
Now it's obvious, even to Obama's Kool-Aid drinkers: he has no intention--probably never did--of attempting to deliver on any of his significant--forget major--campaign pledges. Utterly, totally worthless.
Can we recall him?

Can we recall him?

The drawing in the poster: for once it actually looks like Obama. Most of the time there's too much Nixon in the features.
Yes Ted, Obama can snap his fingers and get everything he promised accomplished. There's a little something called the Senate and Republicans will control it as long as they get all 40 members + one Democrat or Lieberman to go along with them in filibuster.
I wonder if the Nixon appearance was maybe intentional. Behind the cuddly GQ exterior lurks the Democrat Nixon. Case in point: Fox News. I hate them as much as the next free-thinker, but why not let them eventually be seen as what they are? The National Enquirer of cable "news". Attacking them from the White House gives them a legitimacy they don't deserve.
okay, so here's the scene when the dems colluded to dump hillary.
mic (military industrial complex) neo-con guy: so, you want to be the first african american president, of the most powerful nation on earth, eh?
obama: yeah, that would be pretty cool.
mic neo-con guy: okay, here's all ya gotta do; finish the job we started by stealing the rest of the pennies we've left to the peasants. just tell them you're going to use the money to help them. obviously, they'll believe anything. now, once you've "legally" stolen all the rest of the loot, give it to the bankers and others that started the stealing by paying us off to pin the peasants' arms to their sides, while they have their bloody way with them, and we do whatever we want to the rest of the world, in the name of the peasants. think you're up to that?
obama: yeah, sounds pretty simple. i can do that.
mic neo-con guy: son, yer gonna be president, of the united states of america!
obama: huh. cool.
mic neo-con guy: oh yeah, don't prosecute anyone for the false flag operation of 9/11, and those two illegal wars, which we've already lost. okay?
obama: yeah, that's cool. no problem.
everybody got it?
I knew he was a fraud before it was cool.
Afucking men Ted. Last time I vote in this country.
More lies from Ted Rall, who was pre-disposed to hate Obama from the start. Let's review this week alone, shall we?
-HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act
-Lifting HIV/AIDS travel ban
-Hate crimes legislation protecting LGBT citizens
-Defeated entrenched military-industrial complex on the F-18 F-22 and other programs
-First positive GDP growth since 2007
-Stimulus created or saved more than 300,000 jobs so far
-Deficit-reducing HCR bills with public option announced in both chambers of Congress
-Restored Intelligence Oversight Board powers
-Ended abstinence-only funding
-$3.5 billion for smart grid technology
But you're right Ted. Obama's done nothing. Nothing at all.
You're just a bitter person.
I don't like how slow or non-aggressive he is (1) but frankly he's doing some good. And, yes, I think considerably better than McCain or worse when his weak temper tantrum prone ticker kicks out and puts Palin in...
(1) I'd have taken over the media by openly threatening "Patriot act abuse" and flooded TV with shows and news vilifying republicans, rich people, etc. And I'd have dismissed anyone 'exposing' this as a 'conspiracy theorist'. Then I'd let the current generation of flunkies and torturers stay with no fear of prosecution, as long as they helped me abuse the "Patriot act" to purge the political ranks and any entrenched ideologues I didn't like.
Americans get the leaders they deserve every time.
Though, I don't feel I deserve to suffer any longer because I did not do anything to deserve this.
By "this", of course I mean the following:
I am forced to bankroll the private security corporate plunderers.
I keep hearing the excuse from obots that "well, at least he is better than McCain would have been".
How the hell can you tell a difference? Looks like Bush III to me.
Anon@2:25pm
The abstinence only thing is news to me. Last I checked the republicans slipped in $50 million for abstinence only into the health reform bill. DOH!
Stimulus created or saved more than 300,000 jobs so far
That's too funny!
I am glad I did not vote for Obama (don't worry my liberal friends- I did not vote for the other "legitimate" choice either). I watched all the "debates" and listened to/read his campaign promises. Obama did promise to invade Pakistan and escalate the war in Afghanistan which was reason enough to not vote for him. Then there was the veiled threat to Iran, not as blatant as Hillary's promise to obliterate them, but evil enough. And let's not forget his servile groveling before AIPAC.
Now the latest news is that Obama wants to cut domestic spending to reduce the national deficit. But there's no talk of cutting the bloated Pentagon budget.
And thanks for the health care "reform".
